ABOUT THIS RESEARCH
Rapid, accurate quantification of a sample of virus particles is a significant challenge for virology, both in research and clinical settings because current methods are based on indirect measurements of virus particle count and specialized equipment.
With ViralNPQ, we describe a cost-effective and easy-to-use, hybrid device to quantify viral particles in a given sample with 100% accuracy that is critical for precise benchmarking of diagnostics and appropriate dosing of therapeutics.
Sara Rouhanifard, PhD is focused on developing chemical approaches to track and quantify important RNA processing events and modifications in single cells; DNA: protein interactions that drive differences in gene expression; and understanding differences in RNA expression and the impacts on disease and development.
