ABOUT THIS RESEARCH

The worldwide shortage of SARS-CoV-2 reagents has been a significant barrier to an ineffective testing response to the pandemic. Many regional laboratories lack instrumentation, space, or staff proficient in RT-PCR testing. Prolonged intervals for Covid-19 assay results, which sometimes exceeds 48 hours, diminishes the value of testing. Community clinics, small and medium-sized hospitals, transportation venues, industrial sites, educational institutions, employers, and other essential sites require rapid, low cost, highly accurate, and readily available testing solutions.
